Creating with Cadbury for some ‘Win a Banger’ fun! A #CollectiveBias challenge!

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

We are a motor sport household…well, when I say we, I mean the hubby and we all seem to have to fit in!!! There is a genuine interest in cars and racing… and I’m sure, with his years of experience, the hubby would actually make a great commentator! He does seem to preempt everything they go on to say! So I couldn’t believe it when the opportunity to take part in a #CollectiveBias #Shop then came up which seems to marry his love of motor sport with my love of….chocolate! How fantastic!!! Cadbury had launched a fantastic competition to ‘Win a Banger‘…

Getting ready for our little one with The Essential One – a #CBias #Shop challenge!

I am a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for Collective Bias and its advertiser.

37 weeksWell – here she or he is…our last scan yesterday at 36 weeks and 6 days… and in just over a week, on May 9th, we will finally get to meet our little wriggler – so as you can imagine, there has been an awful lot to get ready and prepared for our new arrival!

There are always loads of lovely things to buy to get prepared… decorations for the nursery, curtains, cuddly toys, BEAUTIFUL outfits, bath sets, play mats…the list is endless! But for me, I just want to sort the essentials – what do I really need in the first days and weeks? Because I know the rest can be sorted later!

Back to the 80’s with retro sweets from Swizzels Matlow!

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for Collective Bias and its advertiser.

The background…

I am a child of the 80’s – well, 1980 to be precise – so I LOVE everything retro as it reminds me of my childhood. When we were asked to take part in a Swizzels Matlow #shop and sponsored post for Collective Bias® I must admit I couldn’t wait. There are so many sweets I remember from my childhood…and the Swizzels Matlow sweeties are right up there with the ones that take me back to being just a wee nipper!

I suppose all I need to mention are Refreshers, Refresher bars, Double Dips, Love Hearts… and even the Parma Violets that I was never too sure whether I liked or not! And you can’t possibly forget Rainbow Drops and Drumstick lollies!

These are all sweets that I can not possibly let my children go through life without experiencing – so we took a trip to our local Asda supermarket to see just which retro sweetie classics I could tempt the boys with!

Celebrating a NEW baby with Bombay Sapphire – a #CBias #Shop Challenge!

Yes – you heard right! A NEW baby… but it’s not mine! In fact, I have just become an Auntie again, as my Sister had a beautiful baby boy, named Alfie Joseph Thomas, on June 20th 2013! He was a little early though, considering he is not due until July 29th!!! This was my first cuddle when he was just 3 days old! Alfie He has therefore spent quite a time in hospital learning to feed properly BUT is now home… so a family celebration was WELL in order!

The preparation…

When we were chosen to take part in a Bombay Sapphire Cocktail challenge and sponsored post for Collective Bias®, it was the perfect excuse to celebrate, and I was immediately interested to find a recipe for a delicious cocktail which used Bombay Sapphire! I went straight onto the internet to get onto the Bombay Sapphire website as I felt sure there would be some great cocktail suggestions… which there were! Bombay Sapphire Cocktails #CB

Our Family Flora Father’s Day – a #CBias #Shop challenge!

In our family we are always trying to be a little healthier, so tend to use very little oil, fat or butter in our cooking. When we were chosen to take part in a Flora Shopping challenge and sponsored post for Collective Bias®, I was immediately interested to find a recipe which used the NEW Flora Cuisine, which is advertised as a healthy cooking liquid! It is something I have never used or seen ‘up close’ before, so knew this would give me a hands on experience so I could see exactly what it was like for myself!

The Preparation…

The first part of our challenge was to choose a recipe to cook from the Flora website… and this was no easy challenge! The Flora site has LOTS of different and interesting recipes which look delicious and vibrant. As it was going to be Father’s Day we decided to find a lunch recipe that my 7 year old son could help to cook on the big day – so headed to that section to see what took our fancy!

We like to cook meals that burst with flavour, so when we came across the recipe for Chicken pittas we knew it was the one! Though we don’t eat a lot of bread, we do sometimes have stuffed pittas for lunch, so this recipe was right up our street. It looked REALLY tasty too, a bit like a Mexican come Indian filling, and as we like our spice and flavour this was definitely the one for Daddy! It would be easy to adapt too so that Daddy and I could have a spicier version than the boys!
